The grand old man of the board is in a very grumpy mood tonight.
I think cellos posts are quite invigorating.

by sleepy income on admit it, if you were brought up a witness you were dead scared that you were going to end up like the men you saw prowling the assembles and congregations looking for wives.. there would always be men and women in there 30's and 40 who had never had a boy or girl friend.. i used to know quite a few.. the horror of their lives shocks me.. now i not dissing anyone who has chosen not to marry that is their choice.but these people i know want to meet someone and get married.. but the bad news is that the older they get the harder it is to find a wife .what makes it worse is that the choice is so limited.. many of these grown men are even affraid of women .
why?.
because they are taught that even to look at a woman is to commit imorality let alone talk to one.. i knew a brother who had never had a girl friend , he was about 26 at the time.now a sister asks to go out with him so he accepts.quite soon she wants to hold his hand.. this brother now tells her off, for in the family book it says holding hands is only for people who are going to get married.. he doesn't go out with such a spiritually weak sister again.. what has the socity done to these peoples lives.. many people who were once happy teenagers hoping to meet the wife or husband of their dreams are now approaching 40 or even older and have never even had a girlfriend.theri only hope is the new system and i don't want to breack the news to them but its not coming.

Most recently he has held forth his views in the "Are we ruled by Demons" thread started by Mindchild.
Anywhere you see a thread that is flaming like a roman candle, and has 60 replies...You know is there.

Is this world ruled by Demons and are we?
by Mindchild into me, one of the most pathetic and lamest of all watchtower teachings is the fantasy that satan and the demons rule the world.
the witnesses are terrified of these demons getting into their minds through everything from wearing old clothes bought at the thrift store to smoking cigarettes (remember all drugs give demons easy access to your mind.).
they would have you believe that each country on earth is controlled by really big mean and tough demons (hey demons cant be nice you know) and they are actively controlling the minds of the political leaders in a global chess game because they have nothing better to do.. i was wondering then if anyone can show me a single itsy bitsy tiny amount of evidence to show any credible physical evidence or logical/metaphysical reasoning to back the jw ideological boogey men.

Introducing another angle on the same line....
What about all those ones who DID marry but refrained from having children thru the prime of their lives?.
I know many such ones. Some of them have one child, concieved in desperation as the woman hit her late 30s with the biological clock ticking down.Hmmmm. From an evoloutionary viewpoint, these ones are not genetically successful material. Catholics and Mormons...a different matter.

the silver medal winner was from seattle.

.."Bradbury has to be fully aware the only reason he got the gold is because he was so far behind"...
I think you will find Bradburys being so far behind was a cunning, intentional, ozzie ploy to snatch victory. Inspired thinking.
haha. just stirring you guys up a bit there.
If you were over here and watching Ozzie media coverage on the event and its aftermath you would see that bradbury et al, are pretty nonplussed by the victory. The Aussie media is treating it as a bit of a joke. -

All Ozzies remember( with glorious pride)The ozzie 200 metre freestyle swimmer in 1988. Duncan Armstrong. He rode in Matt Biondis wake all thru the race, being sucked along, then stripped him in the last 5 metres.

I hope so.
Far as Im concerned the sooner all newbies sort their issues and move on, the better, moving on seems a problem for me though. Seems a problem for all the ex dubs I hang out with too.My wife tells me the Watchtower left a very big, dramatic black hole. All that death and destruction, all that manipulation, Ordinary existance is dull and boring compared to the Watchtower hell of anxiety, apprehension and demonic infestation.
